R.M.S. Carinthia postcard.

R.M.S. Carinthia postcard. C.1925. It was printed in lithograph from a painting (it’s signed but I can’t read it). There are some marks on the back which I can’t explain – you can see them in the 2nd. photo. but, overall, it’s in very good condition. N.B. this is the 1st. Carinthia which was launched in 1924. There is a 2nd. one which was launched in 1955.
It’s part of the White Star Line, which I’m told is a desirable fleet, although as far as I know it has nothing to do with the Titanic.
This R.M.S. Carinthia postcard was printed in litho. from a painting and  I suppose you could buy these postcards on board the ship. It explains why I often buy ship postcards that are unposted: they were kept as souvenirs.
Naval postcards. 1908-18. I’m planning to list a lot of postcards on this site, both from stock and my own collection, including these naval postcards which I’ve bought recently from my friend on the Kent coast. He has the same taste as me with lots of things and postcards are no exception. Postcards are easy to post/ship and I want to encourage the sale of small things.
http://eBay.co.uk remains a good source for postcards online. I’ve just started taking postcards to antique fairs again after a 20 year gap, mostly because they take up too much room.
