Act of Parliament, 1803.

Act of Parliament, 1803. It’s about further regulations to the ports around Kent i.e. Customs, as I understand it. I suppose it’s meant to tighten up the rules around smuggling. 7.5 x 11.75 inches. A bit discoloured but in very good condition. There is a slight water stain in the bottom left-hand corner which can be seen in the photos.
It’s actually quite interesting. I have read it and found it absorbing, which is unusual for an official document. I could collect these but I think it’s 20 years too late to start a new collection.
Share certificates. 1909. are the nearest I can find at the moment to an internal link but I do intend to list some more Acts of Parliament soon.

I have a couple more of these from the same collection. I shall list them soon. Are they collected? They’re certainly interesting and I haven’t seen many of them over the years.
I bought this from my friend on the Kent coast. He buys anything related to where he lives and then often sells it to me when he realises that he has a house full of clutter. Sound familiar?
